FOCUS LANGUAGE

Adjective Clause
An adjective clause functions like any adjective and this is used to modify a noun or pronoun. Adjective clause are generally introduced or preceded by relative pronoun such as : who, whose, and whom for people, that or which for things

Examples : 1. The book which I need costs twenty five thousand rupiahs
2. He was not a man whom you could trust
3. The girl whose dress is blue is my sister
4. The book which you gave to Santy is the office manager

Do the task 1 : Join the two sentences using construction who or whom . look at the following example
Eg. The man cut your hair. The man did it very badly
The man who cut your hair did it very badly

1. The man has gone to Surabaya. He was here last night
2. I know the man. You borrowed the book from him
3. The girl is very attractive. She lives opposite my house
4. The people caught the man. They robbed the bank this morning
5. The writer wrote this article. I met him half an hour ago

Do the task 1 : Join the two sentences using construction which, whose, who or whom
Look at the following example
Eg. The boy is very shy. You laughed at him
The boy whom you laughed at is very shy

1. The man is tricky. He must lead a clean life
2. Mother has bough a book. The book is intended for you
3. Give me a form. I am required to fill up the form
4. Where is the man? He sold me these trouser
5. The letter had no stamp on it. We received the letter today
6. Can you recognize the boy? You saw him stealing
7. This is the wallet. She found it this morning
8. I know the lady. She is driving the car.
9. The man is Mr. Arifin. You talked to him, just now
10. I like the girl. She is kind and friendluy
